Monday scoops: French to join Bulldogs, Moses offered to rival clubs

BEVAN FRENCH SET FOR BELMORE

The Bulldogs are poised to resume their squad overhaul with Bevan French expected to join in the coming weeks.

The Belmore-based club are believed to have tabled a two-year contract to French, who is eligible to make a decision after November 1.

French has made no secret of his desire to play fullback, and Parramatta coach Brad Arthur will not stand in his way to take an opportunity elsewhere.

MOSES OFFERED TO FOUR CLUBS

The Eels are shopping Mitchell Moses after an indifferent season at halfback.

The Lebanon representative is understood to have been offered to Brisbane, Roosters, Melbourne, and Canberra.

The chances of Moses remaining an Eel for next season – very slim.

NEWCASTLE SHOP CULT-FIGURE

Newcastle will opt to release winger Nathan Ross to pave way for their new recruits. A groin injury has plagued the cult-figure this season, restricting the 29-year old from making his mark.

With Edrick Lee and Jesse Ramien on board for 2019, Newcastle are prepared to release Ross from the remaining two-years of his contract.
